A group of adventurers conquers Gunung Tahan, the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia, through dense forests, steep cliffs, unpredictable weather and treacherous rivers. Their journey tests their determination, teamwork, and resilience as they reach the summit, finding awe-inspiring views and personal growth. Transformed by the experience, they return with a deepened connection to nature and a burning spirit of adventure.

This was the very last hike together at Gunung Datuk before our attempt for Mont Kinabalu in 10 days, making this a quite memorable hike with a relatively large group of friends. This will be my 5th trip to Mont Kinabalu, this time being accompanied with the largest group of hiking buddies (21 fellow hikers).

Labeled as The boxing day Angsi climb, for obvious reasons, a group of 7 decided to summit Gunung Angsi (Ulu Bendul). Our just recent act of gluttony a day prior to this probably inspired us to venture into a silent agreement that this trip was a great idea to burn off that extra calories.
